Great price. Had this from Prime days near this price but sent back due to Intel 15th gen NVMe 5.0 latency issues capping the reads at 12,000MB/s. Lot's of stock of these so may jump again if they ever get to $150.

If you're unsure if you need to pay the Gen 5 premium... you don't.

This this drive doubles the speed of a 990 pro that's insane. I already feel like the 990 loads everything fast for me not sure if a half of a second to load a application is worth upgrading lol

For a Mini Pc, would this one or the one with Heatsink be better? Complete noob here.

Just got an open box 9100 2tb from Microcenter for $119. scans show zero hours on the drive. I have to brag to somebody who understands what a great deal that was.

for mini pc, under spec'ing is always better to reduce heat, so no, i would not get this at all.

ffs my current drives from 2017 are so much slower lmao. about to build a new HTPC for gaming/media and this looks like the perfect OS drive. This good to go as Best in class for such application before I do all my research to optimize my 9850x3d + 5090 build?

The peak sequentials may be double, but the numbers that matter for most people likely aren't all that much better.

Drives like this are massively overkill for most people, however it is likely among the best consumer drives available right now.
