I have one of these in a different print and wanted to like it more than I do. Even with cleaning per the recommendations the sweater got pilled very quickly, the bottom cuff stretched causing it to kind of flare out at the bottom, and just doesn't fit my body particularly well (the last point is more of a personal fit issue). Luckily I got mine on a better sale than this but still wasn't worth the money for these reasons.

If you have shedding pets, stay far away from anything made of this material. Pet hair gets embedded in it and is extremely difficult to get out. I had a North Face sweater made out of the same stuff and I eventually had to donate it because it was unwearable. No matter how much lint rolling you do there's a bunch that stay stuck that you have to pull out by hand.

It's not inherently boxy, but this is exactly what I came in here to say, so thanks for teeing up my comment:

Make sure if you are considering one of these quarter zips that you are THIN. These zips make larger people look absolutely horrible. In general I always say, unless you are sure you can pull off a quarter zip, just move on and get something that works better with larger frames.

Dang how many times did you wash it?

I've got the full zip version of this and only washed it once to make sure it didn't shrink lol.. but I didn't notice any pilling or the elastic becoming weaker.

I had problems with piling 3-4 years in. I found this tool very useful for the Patagonia material.

use it on delicate, but I've been de-piling four of my Patagonia's 5 years running and they look brand new when finished.
