I stopped buying these. If you're exerting a little more strength than necessary, the small tab that goes into the wand can break and your pad may end up going down the toilet before you can get it out causing a plumbing headache. (Yes it happened to us when I had my teen help clean the toilet!)

that's never happened to me and I've used around 20 oem refills
