Anyone know how this this material is? My last UA shirt was like tissue paper.

"The Under Armour Tech Tee is not your average T-shirt. It is made with 100 percent spun polyester that has the soft feel of cotton. It features Under Armour's signature HeatGear technology to wick moisture away from the body as well as ArmourBlock technology for eliminating odor."

You probably had a tech 2.0. These are very thin (and not that great). I don't mess with the low end UA stuff anymore like tech or velocity. If you get some of their better stuff it's great - tech vent, seamless, vanish energy or high end like vanish seamless and meridian.

This is probably similar to what you're talking about.

I have three of these to use as "sacrificial" shirts: when I know I'll need to go somewhere right after a practice/ride/run/etc. and don't want to keep wearing my sweaty top, I pack one of these. They're super light and breathable, which is ideal when I'm sweaty, and the pattern makes sweat spots a little less obvious.

I wouldn't wear it when actually playing sports because I feel like the first dive/fall would cause stretching, if not a hole.
