If you need hotspot you need to pay 10$/month for each line.

It's like Verizon wants its current customers to switch to another competitor.

T-Mobile is superior. Verizon just wants to get people stuck in a contract before they realize the service is not what it used to be. Also, no. You will not be able to do anything with the phones until they are paid off with bill credits in 36 months.

Not a fan of Verizon. I signed up for Spectrum internet because they had a promo offer for 1yr mobile line free. Spectrum Mobile operates using Verizon's network, but the sim card refused to work on my phone. It would get data for one brief moment after restarting, before being completely blocked from accessing the LTE network. The official reason Spectrum gave was that the phone was not compatible, but evidence shows it's not a physical incompatibility, but rather their purposeful refusal for the phone to access the network, which is incredibly anti-consumer.

In contrast, a T-Mobile sim card works just fine when popped into my phone. It's a Redmi K60. Got it at the time because it had identical specs to flagship phones for less than half the price.

sounds a lot like TMobile essentials plan, which doesn't include international data roaming. they're literally the same, some higher tier plans include international, but you keep trying to paint it like TMobile includes it.
The two plans 2 T-Mobile sells current do include. I don't speak about older plans in comparison as a new customer cannot sign for it. BTW better than being on Essentials plans it may be good to be on pre-paid services.

can't we stay on Verizon for 6 months and then jump to T-Mobile or whoever is ready to pay off those phones?
Sure, but is it worth it?

you HAVE to be trolling right? because if you go to tmobile's website right now and click on plans they currently sell THREE plans. Including the essentials plan that doesn't include international roaming.

How can this not be a Crazy great deal? Price of an Iphone is $999. So 4 phones are $4k. 36months *$120 = $4,320. So basically paying $320 for 4 iphones with service for 36 months. Did I do the math right and is this a logical assumption?

I just got off a call with verizon reps yesterday on the same topic. Not their welcome plan unless you are on a grandfathered.plan from ages and feel loyal, it only comes with their plus plan, which is more expensive than OP and gives only limited GB of data. ATT doesn't have it even now, you need to pay $12 a day(used to be $10 max $50 a month)

Bad thing about T-mobile plans is that all lines on the plan have to be the same tier/type. Ex: assume for 1 month you want to go abroad. You'd want to upgrade your plan to Go5G plus unlimited or whatever, and leave your other 3 lines on regular essentials.
You can't. All lines have to upgrade. But with Verizon, you can mix/match plans.

Taxes + fees on both the iphones and services. Very close to iphone 17 launch so these phone are worth 20% less in a few weeks.

I am not speaking in favor of any one company here. There are good and bad. I was a customer of all the 3 big companies and at one point had different lines on different phone services.

When it comes to plans, ofcourse, everyone need is different and that is why they made it like that. I switched to Tmobile all the other lines, consolidated and find it more economical overall compared to every other company.

Yea, I'm lost with all these comments about the bad service, but it sounds like a great deal to me, would need to research more on what tiers there are for verizon plans. The free iphones 16 pro seems like a great deal on its own.

Very true, however, it has to be instant not being locked for a longer period.

This offer is available for existing customers adding new lines as well. The $200 GC has a 6 month service clawback requirement. There is a $100 cashback for each new/add transactions.

This is what I am doing as an existing customer:

1) use CB portal to add a new line on Unlimited Welcome and purchase iPhone 16 Pro
2) repeat step 1 three more times to add a total of 4 new lines
3) in 60 days use Tmobile's Keep and Switch promo to pay $800 towards each phone.
