Not very bright to risk water damaging your phone for this purpose, spend the $10 and buy a cheap little speaker. If the phones were really "waterproof" the manufacturers would replace them for water damage. Needless to say, they don't.
These seem perfect to be listening to the game outside or in the shower.
meh these days most decent phones are water proof enough to bring into the shower. I stuck a Magnet mount on the shower door and just mount my phone there if i want to listen/watch something while i showered

While I agree that it's silly to bring a phone into the shower as opposed to just using cheap speakers, if the phone is IP68 rated it's pretty safe to say it'll be fine in the shower. The tests that devices need to go through in order to get that rating make taking a shower look like absolutely nothing.

Phones are only rated IPX8 when they leave the factory. There is no guarantee that they maintain that ingress protection after and any water damage is always going to void the warranty. It's pretty much never worth it to risk it.
