doesnt look like its soft close, so hard pass.

you really appreciate soft close when you get one that isnt and its banging and making noise each time

It soft-closes. I have the same trash can. The only problem is that it's so thin, you can use your finger to dent it easily. During delivery, it was banged up pretty badly.

I just received mine and was pleasantly surprised that it does soft close. I was ready to live with a noisy trashcan lid slamming down at night too.
