Are these "for all grass types" better or less effective that those that specifically target a grass type?

I just did one this month; can I do this in November or would that be too late?

It a little early to be using this. Around Labor Day weekend I overseed and apply Scotts lawn food. I'm in NY, I apply Winterguard end of September and again 3-weeks after. I follow Scott's 4 step program plus I add other Milo as well. Lawn looks a million times better then the landscapers I've tried over the years.

I usually get Scott's Weed and Feed for fall/winter. I wonder how much difference
it actually makes just feeding?

This fall fertilizer builds strong, deep grass roots for a better lawn next spring, delivering the nutrients needed to help recover from damage caused by summer heat, drought, and activity. Scotts Turf Builder WinterGuard Fall Lawn Food is for use on any grass type. Apply the product to a wet or dry lawn. We recommend using a Scotts spreader to apply this product. For Scotts broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 2 3/4. For Scotts drop spreaders, use a setting of 6. If fast results are desired, lightly water the product in after application; however, watering in is not required. Return unused product to original container, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn.
