Sanrenmu knives at this price a good value but the other no name stuff is junk.

I don't think that's what he meant. The recognizable brand names are what they are. The less recognizable brands (no names) are junk, except for Sanrenmu which are decent value.

The no name bands are the no name brands. Look up a Blackwatch or SafetyVital if you do not understand and you will find they have basically no retail value at all. I'd argue that Gerber is not really brand as well as they just import China knives and throw a label on them and they often sell pretty terrible china knives under their name. But Gerber is hit or miss and you can sometimes find good value. I recommend the Sanrenmu knowing them china knives but knowing them good china knives. May find the same with Gerber on occasion and with Kershaw most all times even with their china made but the other cheap no name gas station china crap they are trying to pass off as a deal is not. They are worth $2 being sold at $7
