chopping up a squeezed lime/lemon into smaller pieces along with ice and finally baking soda makes for a economical, effective, and fresh smelling solution to garbage disposal funk.

Are these safe for use with septic tanks?
You don't want a disposal on a system with a septic tank.

Use crushed ice. Use limes, not lemons. Add margarita mix. Add to a salted glass. Voila!

A simple search of the internet will explain why you don't want a disposal on a septic system but your free to do whatever you want with your system .

I was told take a fruit peeler and peel an orange, lemon and lime and put a little in each cube in the ice tray then pour in vinegar and freeze then turn on coldest water and let it run 20 seconds then run the disposal a few times while the cold water is running then cover disposal and let it sit for a minute then take course salt and sprinkle in and turn on a few times.

You can make an argument that NO plumbing system should have a garbage disposal. That might be true for individuals that don't understand how to properly use a garbage disposal. For those that understand it isn't meant to chop up and consume copious amounts of solids into your drain, but rather a last stage after scraping plates into garbage pals and residuals from pots and pans; it's perfectly fine for any plumbing system. Septic included. Your poop is made up of digested food in case you didn't know, which a septic tank can handle just fine... I 1,000% will continue to use a garbage disposal on septic and am not worried in the slightest. The biggest thing you need to worry about in a septic system is disrupting the microorganisms and bacteria with harsh chemicals, or flushing things that shouldn't be flushed.

This product is trash, DO NOT buy it. It is mostly fasle advertising. It does not foam or perform any cleaning. You are just chucking pucks down the drain for nothing.

I used to use some lemon pieces and it helped, but these tablets do a pretty good job of getting rid of the funky smell in my disposal.

There's theoretically another coupon. I don't know if it would stack though.
I bought the Ice Machine washer tablets for $15 (same/similar $2 clip off.) like 20 days ago.
When I opened the box the instructions said to go to

https://useactive.com/stop

In case anyone sees this and wants to try, when you view the instructions page It pops up another message if you want a coupon for 15% off next Amazon purchase of the products.

Yeah people are saying you can clean with regular usual stuff, but I don't want my ice tasting like vinegar or soap.
I can confirm that 15% stacks. I got it around 11$.

I can vouch for the do not use Ice gang. My wife did it, it caused the disposal to crack where the disposal and the drain pipe union was. Worst part was she did the the night before the final walkthrough where we handed the keys to the new buyer, she was just doing her best to leave them a clean kitchen. I had to drive to home depot and replace the garbage disposal last minute and it was a pain in the ass.

She too has done this all her life, and thought nothing of it until it finally happened... so maybe just a fluke, but not worth the risk to me ever again.

Tempted but don't want to kill the pipe enzymes. Any comments on that?

These days a lemon costs multiple times more than this.
