DEWALT 20V MAX XR 1/2 IN High Torque Impact Wrench with Hog Ring Anvil, DCF900P1

The 900 is the biggest and baddest - problem is, it's big..and bad. It'll bust your bolts off if you're not careful. https://www.bomgaars.com/oi-48256.html

From Reddit:
The right tool for the job is a saying for a reason. You don't hang pictures with a sledgehammer. You don't buy an exmark 60" zero turn for a 1/4 acre lot with a fenced in yard and a little gate where the mower won't fit in.

The 891 is a much better all around impact wrench. They both have a use case, no doubt. The 891 just has far more use cases across a wider range of applications. A DIY garage with one impact wrench in a toolbox, that one should not be the 900.

The 900 is prohibitively large for most vehicle based applications used on the daily. The 900 is as likely to sheer a corroded fastener as it is to remove it. More power is not always more better. If you sheer a fastener, you're wasting more time and energy and busting out more tools to fix it. A garage that has only one impact wrench, probably doesn't have a welder on site, or the know how to use it, when inevitably normal extraction methods fail.

The 891 performs at a level similar to the old 899 high torque. That was enough for 99.9% of average vehicle jobs across the country. The 891 is a more moderate size which will fit more places. The 891 doesn't destroy sockets. The 891 is still more than enough power to shear most fasteners found on a car.

The 900 has a place in a garage. But it's entirely illogical for that to be the first addition in the impact wrench space of a DIYers garage. It's power is wholly unnecessary for most applications and when coupled with its size, does a great job of selling more 891s.

Good price, good vendor, good deal. It's been slightly cheaper and $199 but prices go up.
This thing is a beast, probably more power than most people need (DCF891 is a pretty heavy hitter & a bit smaller) and nearly double the power of it's predecessor (DCF899).

For those ACTUALLY needing more than this there is the larger DCF961 (1/2" anvil) and the biggest Dewalt on offer, the DCF964 (3/4" anvil).
