Probably will eat some downvote for saying 5050 shouldn't cost this much when 5070 are on sale at $1100 (MSI Katana) and $1200 (Gigabyte Aero X16)

I sense that it is, but I'd prefer a 5060 for some projects. I heard the 5050 redlines and the thermals are atrocious under minimal loads.
I paid $1000 (on sale) for Omen 17" with RTX 3060 with same RAM and SSD few years ago. 3060 serves all games i play (including rdr2) and I am told 5050 is better?
