The downvotes on self-propelled are interesting. Some people need them. I have a self-propelled gas mower and it wasn't fun cutting over 10,000 sq ft of a yard that's not flat in the heat and humidity. Especially if you are older.
I don't think the down votes is for the self propelled feature, rather, it's the tone of the comment suggesting "this way is the only correct way".

I have the self propelled version from the amazon deal this spring. I stopped using the self propelling feature, reason being that even after letting go of the self propel lever, it'd keep self propelling for a few more seconds, which is really annoying when you're trying to turn around. my 2 cents

I'm in 40v eco. Should I even consider getting the 80v mower? I'm assuming the 80v has more cutting power(?). My 25+yr honda mower starts with one pull and still runs good, debating if i should switch to electric mower. Thoughts?

I hate the smell, maintenance, and noise of gas mowers and am also in the 40V line. I'm thinking about upgrading to the 80V line as well. However, for if I were YOU, I might just stick with OLD reliable. If you've had a Honda for 25+ years, then the noise might not be an issue for you. I'm guessing that your well-versed in the maintenance of gas mowers as well if your Honda is still reliably kicking after 25years. If you've got $300 to burn, then that's a different story. I will say that electric to SO MUCH quieter than gas. Just make sure that this unit will be just as strong as your gas unit: you don't want to "upgrade" for something that ends up being less powerful.

What is the better deal, this 80v with a 4.0ah battery or the 40v with 5.0.ah better from Walmart for $198. I am new to this, but I did get the 80v blower from Greenworks with 4.0ah and 2.5ah battery for $125 from another deal.

I've replaced all gas with 80V, if it's in your budget I'd go with it, I'm impressed with the power.

I feel ya, but I recently discovered Toro self paced system and it's boinkers intuitive, no speed settings: you walk fast it goes fast, you slow it slows, stop stop. They're a premium price though something like $600+ MSRP for the 60v Recycler, I luckily got a lightly used on for $200.

You may need to double check which version of 80v batteries your blower came with, I believe this is a different design so the batteries may not be interchangeable

Got the Greenworks 80v push mower on Prime Day for $245. The thing is a beast. The mower deck compared to my 17 inch makes cutting so much faster and it never bogs down. The one 4.0Ah battery I got lasts for a long time too. Such an amazing deal at this quality level.

My first mower I bought from a subpar brand for like $215 and it was TRASH. I considered getting the self propelled but I'm glad I did not go for all these comments people saying you "need" it. Cause you don't. It does depend on your property type but even then, people should not be saying everyone needs self propelled. It depends.

Is this gen 2? Is it the same as the one from Costco without the 2ah battery and extra blade?

You all really need self propelled for the 3000 sq ft of lawn that you have? It takes literally about 20 minutes tops to run the mower. Push is fine and its probably the only exercise your'e getting anyway.
