For the past 2 or 3 years? That was the last time I saw Coke or Pepsi for 1.25$ per 2-liter. It's been a permanent price increase since. I've switched to store brand since then and it taste pretty much the same.

Store brand tastes fine but doesn't have as much bubbles and therefore doesn't last as long in the fridge if you take multiple days to finish a 2 liter.

2 liters also still go on sale for 99c at my Albertsons if I'm patient. Yeah, they often try to sell it for 1.27 but I just wait. Dollar General 3 for $11 + 3 for $13 + filler items to reach $25 + $5 off Saturday coupon is the best deal otherwise. But recently within last month or so (July 2025) DG is doing 3 for $13 and 3 for $15 so it is going up.

i used to buy safeway select brand. sometomes tjdud hsvd prokots of buy two 12 packs , get 3 free for cans. but havent seen that again in awhile
