Will a Fire TV Stick have any issues with this? A previous switcher I had was rife with issues like not having audio or the picture disappearing randomly

I have this, and it's worth mentioning that it's bi-directional. You can have 1 input -> switch between 2 outputs. It doesn't say it in the product description, but it's mentioned in Amazon comments.
It also saves your last input/output state.
I have it set on my gaming PC to switch between monitor and TV.

This doesn't switch automatically when a signal is detected, right? Only on the button press?

but if you need it to also switch video over USB-C, then you need a full-fledged KVM
Thanks - I probably should've clarified - similar as in as simple as this one - one in/out and two outs/ins. Essentially, I just need a switch for my car's CarPlay to toggle between wired and wireless (thru adapter) options. Was surprised that Amazon does not carry many options and even those more expensive than this HDMI thingy, which is probably way more "hi-tech" than good 'ol USB.

Correct. It doesn't auto-switch. You have to press the button.
why dont they make these that are more than 60hz? I looked into them years ago but didnt want to sacrifice the refresh of 120hz on my monitor and tv. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the use
