I see comments like this on all wipes posts. Just wondering: why are they called flushable if they're not, in fact, flushable?

No idea, but be prepared for a hefty plumbing bill if you trust the packaging.

You don't need these flushable ones. just use the regular ones and flush them as normal TT.

Everything is flushable in a sense. Doesn't mean it should. They don't break down as easily as made to believe. Especially when multiple wipes are used and cling together. They result in shitbergs in plumbing systems

If you flush these or any other 'flushable' wipes, and you have the least bit of tree roots growing in your sewer line, be prepared to pay twice a year (at least) for someone to come out and snake your sewer lines. Don't even think about it with a septic system.

Buy a decent bidet (~$200 on sale) at Costco and solve your problem that way. Best money I've spent in at least a decade. Used to get sewer line clogs and waste backflow in the lowest drain in the house a couple of times a year when I was using 'flushables'. It's been at least a decade since I've had to call the plumber for that.

Just FYI, these fragrance and alcohol free are 3 cents a wipe. Costco sells standard (with alcohol) 560 for $24 or 4 cents a wipe.

That said Kirkland fragrance free wipes are 640 for $20 and slightly stronger, IMHO.
