Looks like the grey is a lower quality version...

From Amazon Review: I bought four bath mats and have had them about a month, two in the navy color and two in the charcoal. They have been washed three times. The absorbency is great and they feel nice underfoot. However, the backing on the gray is completely shredded. The backing on the navy is perfectly intact. Looking more closely I realized that the backing material is different. The navy's is much thicker and a higher quality. I'm not sure if the company has switched to a cheaper material and all will be like the gray in the future. I'm very disappointed because these are not inexpensive bath mats. I will not be repurchasing in the future or recommending to others if the gray represents the new, lower quality standard of this product.

These are great but a PITA to wash. I think I dry 4 dryer cycles just to dry mine.

Good evidence for counterfeit version.

Yep, that might explain why the discount is only on the grey version.

I'd recommend a bath stone (diatomaceous-earth bath mat). They absorb water fast, don't mold, and you don't need to wash them.

they're great, but make sure to get a grey one. I had an off white one, and dirt shows up really easily and the dirt doesn't wash off bc it's literally a porus rock and the dirt embeds itself. You have to sand it down to clean it.

Just remember for sizing, 24" is typically the size of 2 12" floor tiles. So this is the same as 2 tiles wide and 1.5 tiles tall. ...pretty small.

get a good quality one as you don't want any of the dust from the stone coming loose and going in your lungs

I bought one of these for my mother-in-law. I sprayed the back side of it with Pam before I gave it to her. She thanked me for the '"thoughtful" gift, and I haven't heard from her since. Looks like we have the house to ourselves this weekend!

Takes days to dry these hanging in the hot sun. Not worth the cost to run a dryer all day.
