While this GPU is slightly more powerful than the 9070 XT, most people are better off going with the 9070 XT because of FSR4 and lower power consumption. This card also has 24GB vram but this isn't really useful for games yet. The only real benefit would be for AI applications. For $700 this is alot more vram than you can get with Nvidia, and ROCm support is pretty good these days.

edit: lol @ the downvotes but yet nobody can explain why I'm wrong. Apparently facts hurt people's feelings.

I have this card, I've been maxxing the settings out on all the games I've tried (Cyberpunk, Harry Potter, Battlefield 6 Beta) with no depth of field or blooming at ultrawide 21:9 3440x1440 with respectable frame rates. I never dipped below 100fps on Battlefield 6 for instance, it ranged from 200 to 150 fps avg. Great card at a decent price.

I believe this card is below a 9070XT when it comes to ray tracing so stick with the 9070XT if you're going AMD and care about RT.

I have this card. I've water cooled it. The drivers leave me unhappy. I get DX12 errors occasionally when playing Apex Legends. Everything else runs fine. Would like to hear from others about their apex legends experience with this card. (not overclocked as I have the MERC 310 version)
What did you use to water cool it?

The deal is okay, I personally don't like the card because one of the main things I use for gaming would be FSR SRAA 4.0 and DLAA 4.0. this card cannot use them. It only has FSR 3.1

If you are talking about maxing settings. cyberpunk can't get over 100fps with 7900xtx with full path tracing on at 1440p
neither can the 5090.....
I've been running Cyberpunk 2077 with a 5090 + 14900K, and it does clear 100 FPS at 1440p with full path tracing on. Benchmarks back this up too — KitGuru measured ~100+ FPS at 1440p RT Ultra, and TechSpot had ~129 FPS with quality upscaling.
The 7900 XTX still gives great value for the price, but the 5090 definitely has the edge in this game. Just thought I'd share since I was curious myself before buying.
7900 XTX has basically no cores for Ray tracing

I'll cosign this. I have the same ultrawide resolution and the same results. You can turn anything on at max and go, and that's me running with an i7-13700k. That was the cheapest at the time. I'm getting ready to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D which will probably unlock even more performance. My only gripe is the months they'll go between driver updates, but I've not had any issues.

right now there are a lot in stock, what max price would help, I guess at least 600.

I'm running that AMD CPU with 64gb of RAM, it's a good experience.

If $500, is this a good deal and what's the difference between OG post? Thanks!

Edit: Jumped on a 'to good to be true' deal. Would have recieved a hairdryer, according to numerous reviews. Order cancelled and seller reported.
