VA (Vertical Alignment) monitors offer higher contrast ratios and deeper blacks compared to IPS (In-Plane Switching) monitors, making them ideal for dark-room viewing and media consumption. However, IPS monitors provide better color accuracy and wider viewing angles, which are preferred for professional creative work like graphic design or video editing. VA panels typically have slower response times, which may cause motion blur in fast-paced gaming, while IPS panels generally offer faster response times but may suffer from light bleed or lower contrast.

Similar to what the other guy posted. VA has worse response times and cheap panels can have smearing (for example white text on black background is noticeable/yellow tinted). IPS doesn't have as good of a contrast ratio so blacks won't be as deep, however they have better response time and color accuracy. You can't normally get a curved monitor without a VA panel.

This one seems pretty good though so I'd say it's worth a shot given the specs and MSRP.

It's a brand new monitor for $137 dude. What are you expecting a 57"curved 240hz Quantum Mini-LED, G Sync Ultimate? For 99% of gamers casual and serious this is a great deal, I'm getting this for my girlfriend and she games almost as much as I do
