Pay attention, this is used, or open box and on Newegg's site there is no refund.

This item is not eligible for refund or replacement. If the item is received damaged or defective, please contact customer service for assistance.

Good price but a risky buy. If you ask why then go to youtube and search open box items from Newegg.

Or maybe because the 5070ti is $150 more expensive.

It is? I just bought a 5070 Ti for $750 because I couldn't find any 9070 XTs for $600. Where they at? I do need another GPU for my grandson, and I'd prefer not to buy an open box product like this because there are no returns no matter how you get them, so I'd be both curious and grateful if you could share where you're finding these $600 9070 XTs because I want one, I don't even care what brand it is.

better at what? for general metrics the 5070 ti is slightly better in every single way. but it costs more. the only real reason to get the 9070 xt is for linux compatibility or because you dont like nvidia for some reason. otherwise, performance, power usage, overclocking, extra features, ai, all favor the 5070 ti on average.

Unfortunately most of them have been through Microcenter that I have seen. I am lucky enough to live by a few.

you are indeed lucky, I'm in Western New York and we don't have any MicroCenter here. otherwise I would have been there back on launch day trying to snag one. I really wanted one of those, performance wise they trade blows with the 5070 Ti, But except for a $700 ASRock which I won't buy because of a past horrible experience with their warranty process, the difference here or online was 750 versus 720 and as much as I like the 9070 XT, for 30 bucks, the features and the faster adoption of DLSS4 proved to be the decision maker.

"For some reason" he says. After all the stuff people said of the fake AI frames and now people are defending nvidia again.

Refurb 5070 Ti is $719 on Newegg so that would be $90 more expensive. Worth it or not would depend on use case.

On average they are pretty comparable, and in many games the 9070XT is slightly ahead, however in the handful of games where 9070 XT falls behind it *really* falls behind. More games support DLSS than FSR4 and earlier versions of FSR just don't stack up. So when it comes to which card will reliably get you the best experience it's the 5070Ti. Maybe get the 9070XT if you're on Linux though…

it was like 2% slower than a 5070ti the last retest that Hardware Unboxed did. Though often have higher minimums

Nvidia will be faster on heavier raytracing games
AMD will be faster on CPU limited scenarios (e.g Battlefield)

Sounds it should still be possible to get 3 year warranty from Asus, so probably a slick deal?

You would still have to purchase the card. Then go to the Asus website and try and input the serial number and see if it has warranty. Typically, if the previous owner did not register the card then it should work. But I would be wary of buying a card just on the assumption it might work.
