They used to be worth $0.0014 each. The question is, was one able to redeem them without purchasing anything when Wendy's first introduced the Key Ring?
Edit: I just now noticed that the location I go to for $1 items ($1 Jr frosty), now prices the Jr frosty at $1.19 each. No more $1 items on the menu for Wendy's.
You're able to use the coupons without purchase, and that's still true. You can even use them all at the same time if you so wish. But you used to be able to use (free item with purchase) promos, but you can no longer do that with the boo books or the key ring.
That is true. The coupons you could redeem it like an actual Wendy's coupon (I still get those coupons in the mail).
So with the Key Ring, you cannot get a free jr frosty with purchase? Do you just get a free jr frosty every time you show it or something (I have never bought one in years)?
The keytag requires a purchase. Wendy's stopped allowing coupon stacking a few years ago. You can no longer order at the counter and use a free item coupon (e.g. free nuggets with purchase) with the keytag; you have to spend something out of pocket.
However, Wendy's has such an insane markup on their frosties, my stores tend to be a bit lenient, and some will let you combine the Boo Book coupon with the keytag for 2 free jr. frosties. About 4 years ago, all Wendy's in my region raised prices on the jr. frosty from $1 to $1.89. I usually only go to Wendy's for a frosty, so the Boo Books are a no-brainer. Even if I just use one coupon, I saved almost 50%. However, it's worth noting the keytag and Book Books don't work on frosty swirls (with syrup), or the new fancy frosty fusions (with toppings + syrup). In my region, the latter start at $4.49 for a small, and they don't have them in jr. size

I was given the option to buy one of these today, turned it down, but had seen an article about the new boo bags with new character toys. I may have to reconsider. I still have my Franken Frosty from the last time.

Did you check the date on my post, when they put this up the books WERE NOT available. However, they are now available.
Just remember, these are itty bitty... probably 6oz cups. Not even their regular small frosty.

You posted it on the 2nd when some stores already had them. They start selling them in September so I don't see what the issue is.
