I had a pair of those MK2 40 years ago doing mobile DJ. These were the standard for pros and amateurs.

Damn good deal. Maybe swap the top case if the branding is too brash?

It says "save $1100" but you can get it in black for $200 more.

From what I've read, the MK7s are not the same build quality as its predecessors. The black ones might be worth the trouble on a deeper sale.

I am not in the market for an expensive turntable, but if you are OK with the color scheme, $900 is a solid sale price for an SL-1200MK7 turntable. Whether it's worth it to you is another question.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I did thumb up the deal. The deal is solid but not for my budget.

That would make sense. Still though great deal, $300 cheaper than the Technics SL-1200MK7-S.

I'm old, and have sold off all my vinyl...
But since when have direct drive turntables been desirable vs. belt drives...in 70s/80s, virtually every high end turntable was belt drive.
This particular Technics (or similar) was used exclusively by DJs...I think one reason was the ability to "scratch", and start instantly...but my memory isn't what it used to be!
