These have been as low as $600 recently. Perhaps they way-overestimated demand for this model. Might see BF pricing at around $500 soon.

Are there really people who ask for the phone to be 2mm thinner at the expense of significantly shorter battery life?

And then people will buy 5-10 mm thicker phone cover to protect the phone lol

Seems like they are just trying to dump these models to get ahead of Apple announcing their iPhone Air model. Competitive price point will make the iPhone Air seem like a bad deal and pull customers in for those who are willing to move off the Apple lineup.

We've been phone shopping recently and I'm pretty convinced we will be purchasing direct from Samsung if/when they again offer the any phone $300 trade-in!
Direct from Samsung (used), what they call their "Renewed" phones.
Like S24+..... comes with new battery, New unblemished screen and chassis (pristine and mint looking). Plus they give you credit for any trade-in ahead of you even sending in your old phone.
Here's video comparing Samsung renewed to Amazon refurbished
(Is Samsung Renewed a SCAM?)

I had no idea people still buy OtterBox, or rugged cases. All of my cases have increased the thickness less than 5 mm.

Recently purchased this phone and have been pleasantly surprised. Battery life has been fine in routine use, though I'm not a power user. Lighter/thinner noticeably even with a cheap case on it. Overall happy I chose this over the base s25.

I used to bash this phone just because I thought the premise was dumb. Just came back from Best Buy and I must say, its something else to hold the phone in person. Ultra Premium and sleek. Thinking of ditching my Pixel 9 pro but, I love the Pixel UI and smaller form factor.

If they add in a $300 trade-in promo for an old iPhone, then it makes sense to switch. $300-$400 after trade-in and I am in.

holy cow and I just placed an order for regular S25 256 GB for $690.99 on Samsung.com for my gf. I managed to switch her from long time iPhone to Android.

which one is better between the S25 and the S25 Edge?

Mine too, but I have friends who DESTROY their phones, they NEED that otterbox!
