toilet backup to the rim

Can anyone recommend what I can pour in the toilet that will unclog it. I don't want to mess with a toilet. Anything I can buy at home depot? Thanks

Hot water was suggested to me when my toilet was plugged...of course you have to bail some water out before you add more ..oh and do not forget to turn off the water to the toilet...I hit that stupid handle twice and it was a dangum mess!!

I realize it's late in the evening and hopefully your toilet isn't still clogged, but very hot water and dish soap can work miracles. Boil a pot of water and allow it to cool just below boiling. Pour a generous amount of dish soap in the toilet along with the hot water. Give it a couple minutes to sit and it should clear on it own. If necessary you can try plunging again once the hot water has sat for a bit.

I had a clog this summer and nothing would getting it to clear. Finally at 1 in the morning I tried this method (having read about it online and not believing it would actually work) and was surprised how quickly it cleared the clog after several hours of it just sitting there.

Nevermind the plunger.....too much work.
Just throw 6 X-Lax and a cup of hot coffee into the bowl and things should clear up in about 45 minutes.
