Lay them in the sun to soften up the material before install just don't let them get too soft. Wear gloves and buy a roller too.

I installed these in my 4Runner. Doesn't help much with road noise but the stereo sounds nice and road vibrations are reduced.

also if you're looking to get a quieter interior, you're better off getting some MLV (mass loaded vinyl) with foam used in combination with this. This will only remove resonant buzzes and hums and trash can sounds. The MLV will stop noise.

Inside the door panels and entire trunk area. Helps tremendously with reducing rattling you'd get from speakers/subwoofer, so you'll hear a cleaner "knock".

Same here, put this in my 5th Gen 4Runner doors and tailgate when I was swapping out the speakers (which I highly recommend). These sheets do a great job of keeping the vibrations down and enhancing the sound experience. Stuck well once I hit them with the roller, and were easy to cut and work with.

This is more for absorbing vibrations of metal and plastic parts that cause noise, than absorbing sound itself. Which I think is what foam is usually for.

Hmm appears there's a targeted $1.62 coupon on these which brings it down to $14.62 for me.

Additional 2% off on top with amazon day shipping for an additional 32 cents which takes it to $14.30 which for 10 mats is a really good price with or without that targeted coupon.

Unfortunate timing for me since back in May I lined a vehicle with sound deadening matting, this stuff is not high end especially after they cut the thickness but if you want to experiment on things like putting some matting in doors or whatnot without commiting a large chunk of change into this stuff its a really good price to dip your toes in the water

Every single Tesla needs this. Tesla should ship this with their garbage rattling cars.
That tells me you haven't driven the latest design change.

Anywhere you can get access to. If you do your own car repairs, I find it's nice to just have on hand.

So when something goes wrong inside a door like a bad lock, blown speaker, window mechanism fails etc, while the door is apart, just apply a sheet of this in there.

When the fuel pump dies and you lift the back seat or a trunk panel to access it, lay some down there too.

Agreed, the latest Model 3 improved on a lot of aspects of the first design. The sound levels are now comparable to a premium sedan (like it should have been). I don't think sound dampeners were used, they basically changed the suspension.

These are good for deadening computer cases as well and reducing sound coming from resonance off sheet metal office cabinets and filing cabinets, that sort of thing. Cut them in 2 for a rectangle and space them evenly within the center.

This is just standard NBR foam rubber for those who'd like to know.

I tried these for my Bronco but they didn't help with the annoying noises coming from my wife's mouth while I drive.
