This thing is awesome for a postpartum nursery, and is great for shorter folks. Someone who is 5'2" can still touch the ground sitting, for rocking the baby, unlike other chairs who just swallow you up.

Still feels great if you're tall, you just won't have the head support until you're fully reclined and scooch down.

I'm looking for one for that purpose. Is the motor loud enough to wake a baby? Does it rock pretty well?

That review is just not accurate.

You can put your legs up and down independently of the backrest, which goes back to full recline. It does have independent power recline and footrest.

There also a third button that restores both to sitting up at the same time.

That review is honestly stupid, I don't know what they're expecting. The headrest doesn't have flappy wings or anything. I guess some headrests can wrap around your head, like on an airplane? it's not a wing back chair clearly.

The motor is extremely quiet, and very slow moving. There's a bit of a whine, but I don't think you shouldn't worry about that at all. if the baby's milk drunk and in your arms, they're not going to notice. It's way quieter and smoother than manually operated recliners which pop back violently and with a loud click of the springs.

it's a glider so it goes forward and back, and swivels probably 270°. I find that you want your feet on the ground to glide or else you're trying to make the momentum with your torso which would be awkward while holding a baby. For what it's worth gliders are far more soothing a motion for babies.

The listing says it's power headrest. The review says it does not have an independent control for it, it just raises the footrest. So it's a legitimate negative review. Maybe theirs was mis-wired. I have no idea what you are referring to about flappy wings (those are on airline seats). A power headrest means there is an independent adjustment to the angle of the headrest. Usually an independent motor w/ it's own button. It's not common on recliners but they exist and are quite nice for people with neck/shoulder issues.
