I have this same thing from Temu. I actually like the plastic ones more that have a swivel ball head, it's just a lot easier to adjust the angle. Also keep in mind that you have to double sticky tape or screw it into wherever want the holder. It's not like a stand you can just set down.

I have one, too and my experience is a bit different but we probably use them in different ways. It includes a magnetic plate that I attached to my dashboard. That way, I can take the mount off when not in use and it leaves no trace of a phone mount at all. I also use the 1/4-20 mount to place on tripods and it works great for that, too. You can also use any magnetic surface as a tripod. I've mounted this directly on my car's fender (with napkin sheet to prevent scratches) as a make shift tripod.

another vote for temu. these no-name brands can almost all the time be bought from temu for half the price on amazon. you're getting the same thing but cutting out the middlemen(amazon and the sellers on amazon)
