maybe the show went over your head, lol.

milhouse's dad worked at the cracker factory, it's a recurring joke. another joke in a similar vein is when the schoolchildren take an exceptionally tedious fieldtrip to a box factory.

Ok. Even with that decent explanation, it still really doesn't make sense. Thanks for trying -- though I never really did get that show anyways.
