This was $60 a few months ago refurbished. Came like new but I returned it. Everything sounded overblown. My xm3 sounded alot better and cleaner.

Don't buy the Sony ULT wear. They are known for the hinges breaking. I bought two pairs and both are broken. Sony is willing to fix the hinges for free.

Bought a pair of the $60 refurbs for myself and my partner. We love these. Definitely not as good as the XM4/5/6 but the sound quality is great, ANC is great and the bass being way too heavy is slightly overblown. The bass is a bit heavy but it's not unlistenable. Works great for electronic and hip hop music. I like to keep it on Bass mode 1 since it's a good balance. Highly recommend these for anyone looking into the Sony ecoystem, albiet $150 is a big high for SD standards.

Have two (1 refurb w/ 2Y All-State warranty and another new) and are my fav for use around the house over the last 1-1.5 years w/o any issues. The ANC is great and the sound is AWESOME (I am a bass fan. I also have the Bose QC SC, Bose QC 35 II, and B&O 980 headphones...and the ULT to me sounds great to me for their bass heavy tune). They are also very comfortable. I would highly recommend for non-airplane travels. I thought that this would be go to headphones for travel as well, but I find that there is a strange ANC issue when use on the airplane and sleeping. If the headphone is touching the headrest (as it does when I turn my head to sleep on the plane), the airplane vibration would be transmitted and very audible like a low frequency humming noise; this is NOT the case w/ any of the BOSE. It is not present if my head is straight. It was really annoying to sleep with this noise. For this reason, I went back to the Bose QC SC for air travel. For this price, I do not recommend. I would suggest to wait for the eBay deal for refurb (came in like brand NEW) w/ 2Y All-State Warranty at $60-80 typically (secondipity on eBay has these refurb avail now for the normal price of $99, which I think is a better deal than NEW for $148...but I would wait until a sale in the $60-$80 range). It is an excellent product but not for almost $150.

BTW, BuyDig on eBay has these Brand New for $118.40 w/ the HAPPY50TH code (expires tomorrow). This is a better deal than the OP posting.

agreed, same experience as this guy. for 60, no brainer. for 150 probably not.good noise cancelling and battery life is good. I use for work all day.
