all of the specs are effectively the same until you get to the os updates. the edge+ is only getting 3 updates from 2023. and the s25fe will have android 23/ one ui 15. different world over there.
the chip is also better on the s25fe. only downside here is the storage.

this is the edge+ final year of os update. it is already eol

Has anyone tried inserting a T-Mobile SIM into this phone before first boot? Interested to see if it is carrier locked to Metro or if it can be used on T-Mobile.

Moto phones go for the $65 price range which kind of comparable to FE series. Sadly all locked for 1 year now. I bought a few of them and am waiting to be unlocked.

I wish a $99 price for new line but Metro is catching up with more restrictions.

I believe they try to do esim on all phones going forward now because back then you can just slip in a T-Mobile SIM and it'll never boot into Metro if you never inserted the Metro SIM.
So far one person reported here that a similar phone worked with T-Mobile sim.

Anybody else for it to work with T-Mobile sim ?

Has anyone successfully gotten a Metro phone unlocked after 365 days with just one month of service? Reddit post here shows additional conditions, including $100 of refill.

That post is all outdated information, along with the MetroPCS subreddit being a huge source of misinformation in general. You have store reps who have been brainwashed/fed bad info answering questions based on how it was wrongly explained to them instead of by policy. Essentially there was a mishap and they (T-Mobile) ended up posting the T-mobile prepaid unlock policy onto the the Metro website before retracting it a couple days after.

The 365 unlock policy only began being enforced for new activations in mid October 2024, anyone who activated before then only had to wait 180 days, there is no reason to believe anything else changed besides the duration, the rest of the terms remained the same. We won't be 100% certain for another 5-6 weeks.

to add:

--if u look at the terms , even if they were valid, it states the $100 is required if less than 365 days.. after 365 days there is no such requirement

--as u look at the website, the terms make no mention f the refill nonsense

from website:

All three of my daughters which are all teenagers take so many photos and videos and have apps installed that they maxed out 128 GB in about 2 months. That's why I had to buy phones with micro SD card support. The only way around that is by paying for a subscription to a photo backup service like Google Photos, Amazon Photos. so we ended up paying for the two terabyte Google plan to share it as a family. But even then unless they know how to go in and delete all the photos that have synced to the cloud their phones are still complaining that they're out of storage space. My wife is the same way. had to buy a 512 GB phone for her to not be constantly complaining about there being storage issues. My 512 GB phone has only 200 GB used. 🤷 I would say you're probably smarter than your average layperson on keeping your phone tidy.
Hell yes! My wife is with S20FE and 1.5TB card to keep her photos and videos. And a NAS and nightly backup job to replicate new photos from the phone to the NAS for backup purposes. No cloud subscriptions.

absolutely not. I paid $119 during initial 1.5TB card release. Imagine cost for a phone with 1.5TB memory

Has to be AT&T/Verizon/Dish Number from any MVNO just NOT T-Mobile/Google Voice.

InifiMobile website has $5 1 month plan just make sure its Verizon Number not the T-Mobile.
Anyone know how to make sure the InifiMobile sim is a verizon number, not T-Mobile number?
