When there are knives this great being made in america and sold for this price it gets really tough to justify spending more on other knives. Assisted opening isn't for everyone and it helps mask "poor" action, but these are still amazing value folders.

I have this knife, heat treat seems to be good. Nice blade shape and I like Kershaw. But I don't ever carry it because I don't like the assisted opening. A frame or liner lock knife will open just as fast without any spring if the tolerance is good. Assisted open is just a way to hide loose tolerance.
