I'm having an inner conflict on whether I found them nice upon first look, and whether I would hate them a week after buying them. At this price, it may be worth it.

Gotta admit, I'm kind-of-awhore for well built shoes, as well as rugged looks in trail/hiking ones. Recent all cloth, with less big-toe-gonna-pop-through support, makes me sad; so I look for values like these.

I tried these on at the store and the squeak from the continental rubber sole against the tiled floor was out of control. I'm sure they're fine on street or dirt but indoor noise made me decide against them.

I'm a complete beginner who just started trail running. I'm considering buying these shoes.
Any advice or recommendations would be really helpful.

Be careful with what you buy at Simon, bought adidas shoes for my son, within 8 days front flap glue is gone , no return or any policy for this issue and just have to throw

Just get a regular running shoes. In the long run, comfort is still the priority.

Seems like they fully restocked all sizes. I notice Simonshop tends to do that from past Slickdeals.

Anyhow, never heard of this shoe but it looks nice and more comfy with the Lightstrike Pro foam than my Adidas Terrex.

True, but goes away quickly with minimal wear. Bought on previous deal, great shoes IMO.

In for one, at checkout you can remove this line item which seems like a BS fee. "Guaranteed Delivery $0.98 / Protect your order against loss damage and theft"

Adidas eBay site has them for $43 if your size is OOS at Simon. https://www.ebay.com/itm/157194960584

I am not a trail runner, but somehow ended up have both the Adidas Terrex and Kantai Trail models. I can attest that both are decent hiking shoes. However due to their softness (comfort) and moderately aggressive lug soles, they are mainly designed more toward general hiking/walking and not running. If you're serious about trail running, suggest you look toward a model such as the Terrex Swift R3 GTX Gore-Tex Trail runner. Of course this will cost quite a bit more than the Kantai Trail shoe. So it really depends on how serious you are about trail running and the type of terrain you intend to run on.
