I have this jacket and can confirm it's fleece lined. Had it for about 2 years. Runs true to size. Waterproofing still works after 2 years. Looks like they finally got rid of that giant Carhartt on the sleeve which I really dislike. I kind of want to buy another one but mine works fine other than that giant Carhartt logo on the sleeve

Anyone know what the inside is lined with? Is that fleece type material? I cant tell from the pics.

Also anyone know if the jackets are sized and fit like the k87 shirts? The "SIze & Fit" sections are the same on the 2 product pages which makes it seem like they are.

Just curious if anyone can confirm.

EDIT: i found some reviews on amazon. It is fleece lined and seems to run closer to normal sizes vs the k87 shirts that run maybe a half or full size big.

I was about to bite but that fleece lining would make me too hot lol.

Can someone confirm that this jacket is on the slimmer side, as described in many customer reviews

I wish they put the tag on the inside of the jacket.. or is it removable?

Is this like 32 Degrees brand sizing? Some customers reviews imply sizing up... while the description indicates that it might make sense to size down?

why would you make a rain jacket without the hoodie? anyone know a scenario where this will be useful?

There are plenty of raincoats and rain jackets that don't have "hoodies" or hoods. Why is it you think that all rainwear must have a hood to be "useful?"

Maybe useful for some, but I'd much rather have a good than rely on always having a good rain hat around. I'm outside some for work, so anything intended as a rain jacket must have a hood for my use. Sticking with a 3-layer Columbia jacket (and an extra layer for warmth, when needed) as my main go-to for rain, for now.

You asked for a scenario where it would be useful. Apparently you meant a scenario where it would be useful for you. And only you know that. But we can't all just post about ourselves on here. Present company excepted, apparently. So I'm questioning still what your comment added to the discussion.

And yet you didn't provide a scenario where they are useful. You just stated that some companies make raincoats without hoods.

The jacket's / brand's sole purpose is to provide the illusion to others you are handy or the worker type even though you pay people to cut your grass. Bravo, youve got everyone fooled, well done!

It's not a rain jacket despite the name being rain defender. It is only water repellent, not water proof, so this is not a true rain jacket and I wouldn't use it in an area where I would be expected to get excessively wet.I have a similar TNF jacket like this and don't mind at all that it doesn't have a hood. A hooded jacket adds bulk to the jacket and makes the jacket look much more casual. Or worn with a hoodie underneath and this as an outer layer, I wouldn't want the hood on the jacket also.
