what's the best way to verify you got a real one once you get it?
I'd just get it from B&H, Adorama, Bestbuy or direct from Samsung. You could test something suspicious you got from amazon, but why wouldn't you just get your card from a decent company?

Up to you of course, but IMO buying a chinese sd card to save a few bucks is not worth it.
I have two 256 Team Group cards that are super slow on the read side likely due to the controllers going bad. I reached out about RMA but I have to pay to ship back so not worth it for the price.
