Now to get Best Buy to have it in stock so I can PM…
Microcenter: 👎
Edit: I don't care about MicroCenter deals, and wish I didn't have to see them everywhere, because there are none even remotely close to me. Nothing negative about the company itself.
On the other hand, the 5070 Super with 18 GB will probably force RX 9070 prices down, unless it has unobtainium levels of supply.

Microcenter is YMMV. I've had amazing experiences with customer service and awful experiences but - post-COVID at the Cambridge store - have found they've dramatically improved. If you haven't been in awhile, roll the dice.

AMD has seen its GPU market share drop to just 6% according to the latest market research, lagging behind nvda's 94% (intel doesn't even register). steam HW survey show 5070 (none TI) at 1.62% market share whereas amd 9000 series isn't even registered, which means is less than 0.15%. as a matter of fact, the 5070 has the HIGHEST ownership in the entire 5000 series based on steam's HW survey, followed by 5060 and 5070 TI. people definitely want 5070 a lot.
if you purely go by the TU here in SD, you will never know that intel's ARC GPU is nearly non-existent, and AMD dropped half its market share (from 12%) in a year since the release of nvda 5000 series and amd's 9000 series.

"Nobody wants it" was an exaggeration. But when Nvidia cards dip below MSRP in this market, something's up. The VRAM capacity is probably the culprit, and the Super series is Nvidia's quick solution to that problem, using 3 GB GDDR7 modules. The 5070 Super 18 GB will be very popular, being more than enough VRAM for almost everybody and exceeding AMD's 9070 offerings, and matching or slightly outperforming the 9070 non-XT at a similar MSRP.
