Why reward them for losing things? I don't follow how replacing them constantly fixes them not being responsible. It's babying. I still have the first laptop I received in middle school. I may not use it, but it still works the same as in the past.

If it were my kid, after they lose the first one, they aren't allowed to take it outside of the house. Maybe slickd888 has lots of disposable income and doesn't care though.

Pot luck. I picked one up for my daughter and not a scratch on it. Same with a 32gb 2021 Kindle. I think I got lucky.
