This seems like a good deal, a battery that can supply a 10 kW inverter is interesting. Is this good for an off grid setup?

yes it would be fine for off grid but this is about the same as 42 amp service. you would probably need more than one set for totally off grid

I think with 1 unit, no since it will need 2 inverter to do split phase 240v

How much for the installation of one (or two) of these in a non-grid tied (switchable?) system with a subpanel, best case scenario, that can be connected to a ~4kW solar panel system?
