I have this, slightly older version. Works great, wasn't too bad to install, but because I had access to a lower roof and attic.

I think the biggest thing is that the power unit isn't waterproof. Might be updated now though. I actually like that anyway... everything is in the house so it's a nice, clean install.

No integration with Home assistant or anything other than the eufy app though.

Also, when power is cut and restored, they default to ON. Not great if you suffer from outages often.

Schedules are weird also.. if you have daily white lights on, and have a holiday pattern, it gets wonky, unless you play with the start times.. I have white lights start earlier so that the holiday lights will override it.

They announced a newer version with some crazy cool features. But mine is maybe 2 yrs old now, so not replacing it anytime soon. Oh incidentally, my power supply brick stopped working, and eufy graciously sent me a new one (after initially suggesting I purchase a whole new set).

They can be "hacked" to us WLED which could then give you HA integration as well as more sequence options. Chris Maher on YouTube did a video on it.

I don't know about these ones but I had to add 3d printed brackets to my Govee to prevent them from coming off and being able to power wash the soffits

Is there a third party compatible extension cord? so you can plug inside, and then start where you want?

they have a 12' for over $20. [eufy.com]

E120 consists of six light strings and each measures 16.4 ft.
Also this looks like 100' is actually 6 light strands you connect.... Looks like you buy a separate starter and make 2 (or more) strips [eufy.com]

I have a different light set, the E10 (string lights) but they work great from the eufy Life app and can be synced with your eufy cameras or doorbells for automation. We have a set that you can see from a room in the house that isn't by door so when the doorbell camera detects a person the lights flash automatically.

Eufy's app is a bit wonky wherein if you change the mode manually, it needs to be turned off and then back on in order to "reset" back to your timer mode. The timer modes don't trump the manual selections (which makes sense if you're having a little party and then boom 8pm comes and your lights go to your default).

This is a solid price for the lights, with "light season" coming up!

Definitely going to look that up. I figured at some point someone will do it. Can't watch now - but is it a cut/replace the controller, or replacing the Eufy firmware w alternative?

Mine were great until the control unit made a "zzzt" noise one day and completely died. Eufy wouldn't help as I was just out of warranty, and the control unit cannot be purchased independently. So I now have useless lights hung on my house.

Looks like you can purchase it separately: https://www.eufy.com/products/t8l...3186937018

Do what Tim said earlier - cut it out and use WLED.

I was planning on getting 2 and combining them but the manual says the power supply can only handle 9 segments (150ft). So I either set up two 100ft sections, or stick with only 150ft and have backup parts for when something eventually fails

Keep in mind that to get these to work with WLED, you have to cut out the original controller and use one that WLED supports (can't be flashed to WLED as it uses an ATS2835p SoC)
