The most recent experience (that I am just starting to deal with) has now led me to completely stop using this website going forward.
Two boxes were ordered. One with a phone one with a smartwatch.
Both got left at my doorstep by a courier named SwiShip. As soon as I opened the door (around 10 mins after delivery - no door knock or bell but I happened to leave the house to walk the dog) and picked up the boxes, it was easy tell that one box was empty.
Upon investigating, that box was perfectly cut open from the bottom with the top kept intact and goods worth $400 were stolen out - the funny thing is that the other box was left alone that had $800 worth of stuff (phone) in it but the $400 box (watch) said lithium ion battery on it. All other packages that we got that day were laying there untouched. My claim is that SwiShip driver did this before exiting the delivery truck. My camera shows that nobody else showed up at my door in that time period.
I reached out to Woot right away and after 48 hours there's been no emails from them. They have no phone support these days and their website keeps saying that they have a high volume of requests so be patient.
I'm going to give them another 2-3 days and then file a police report against Woot and SwiShip.
Please - if you DO order from them, make absolutely sure that you either have a well lit area and a camera or better yet - immediately open the door and make sure that you got your package in tact.

I guess the real question now is - ARE the Gen 3's worth 2.5 X more - I doubt it.
I actually have a different view point. My gen 2 recently experienced bad distortion after 2 years so I returned them. If apple views this product as a disposable item, I'm not going to waste $100 on something that's going to go bad again without the option of returning. So I'll just save that $100 and buy the new ones from Costco again and view that as a 40% savings. It's silly logic, but why everyone is buying these from any place besides costco is crazy to me.
After a full day of being tossed around, there has been zero resolution. Woot says - we shipped it using Amazon logistics (SwiShip), talk to them. Amazon says, contact the seller. There is no way to talk to anyone real at SwiShip / Amazon Logistics, at all. Amazon chat even refuses to acknowledge that they are the same company (Woot and Amazon). Technically, I get that they are indeed two different companies but their brains just freeze when I tell them that seller is Woot and shipping company is Amazon (logistics) so there is no doubt that Amazon is involved here.
Never again will I ever order anything from Woot. It would have been about a million times easier if this were ordered from Amazon directly because the accountability there is quite judiciously followed from my experience of over a decade ordering from them.
I also do not understand what I would achieve by filing a police report aside from just checking a box for my mental peace. It's not like anyone is going to do anything for a $400 watch. It is not a small amount to me and would be a pretty big loss, though.
