If you want to fiddle and get a shot exactly like you want it. This is not it. But if you want easy espresso or lungo, this is way better than what you get from pods. Just remember to clean up a little after each pull and it will work well.

This machine is very unusual in that you can't steam milk with it, which definitely makes it an outlier in the world of espresso machines. That may be perfectly fine if you're not into milk-based drinks, but it's something to be aware of. If you do want to make a latte or whatever you'll have to get a separate device to froth your milk. There are a lot of different ways to accomplish that.
