flex arm is a long way from being this price point... and it's a bit of a gimmick. IMHO

This thing has been a game changer for me. I got the same deal about 3 months back and my floors are consistently clean for the first time in 20 years of owning multiple big dogs with. We are abusing the hell out of this machine and will probably need to order new parts soon. It's doing an amazing job. 5 stars so far.

This model is 2 years old now right? Hard to keep track of the now 156 versions of Q Revo.

Lack of 5GHz is a dealbreaker, I only run 5GHz and don't have any 2.4GHz devices.

Get a cheap access point?

Tough seeing all these deals after getting the q5 a couple months ago for nearly this much

I haven't had the need to try it, but there is a setting in the app to have it vacuum the carpets first before it wets the mops and vacuum mops the rest of the floor.
Almost think it does that automatically as mine will try to go to even carpeted rugs before it would do the wood floors.

Have had one for about a year and love it, my house layout is long and open and this thing cleans about as fast as you could doing it yourself (vs the older model I had that would just bump around). My only complaint is the mops could put more pressure down. They clean good, but you can still see faint dog foot prints/etc after it's done (no dirt, just like the silhouette when light hits). In my bathroom it passes the blacklight test on the floor of where it touches vs where it can't reach so it does pretty good.

Why would lack of 5GHz be a deal breaker for a vacuum? You don't need the faster speeds for a vacuum.

This one or the Dreame L10s Ultra, brand new from Amazon?
That one was tempting but I ended up going with this one. Roborock is a household name in robot vacuums at this point and their app is highly rated (4.6*) vs the 2.9 star Dreame app. I've starting factoring app rating into purchases now because it's beyond frustrating when I can't use a device properly because of a malfunctioning or poorly designed app.

The only difference device wise seems to be that the Dreame uses a camera and 'AI' to navigate while the Roborock relies on lidar. Personally I prefer the lidar but others prefer camera.

I turn off the 2.4ghz radio on my router to reduce interference, radiation, and energy draw. I'm not inclined to turn it on just for one wireless device.

Is this better than the Q8 Max+ which is only a little more after coupon?

I've bought like 7+ different robot vacuums. All either returned or warrantied, after breaking or performing poorly. This is the only exclusion. I've had it for a year & it is still going strong/the best performing one - for the price. Almost tempted to get another for the downstairs.

Or I'll just buy a vacuum that supports 5GHz. Lol.

I had a robot that only ran on 5. The range was too short. I had to go back to 2.4 for the longer range.

What is the Roborock's app rating?

I got this last year around same price. Fantastic. I have 2 shedding pets and 2 kids under 5. It handles it all. It didn't come with mop cleaner, remember to buy big bottle of official solution on amazon. It last a while.
