As for equivalents, the most similar HOKA to these would probably be the Bondi 9, but it's much more geared toward actual running than the Bondi 9, which has earned a reputation for catering to people who work on their feet as opposed to runners.

I'm aware Brooks are decent shoes but $160 seems steep when Hoka routinely go on sale for $100ish.
