I hate this trend of integrating retractable cables in these battery bank or charger brick. Firstly, I've never had a decent retractable cable that'll last after a few repeated use. Secondly, they added a $5 cable to a charger or battery bank, and mark the price up by $20. The whole mechanism alone is bigger than a normal usb cable... The only upside I can think of is, if you're the type that forgets cables a lot, this might save you.

I only buy power banks with retractable cables now. Keeping a separate cable with the power bank is such a hassle. So far, I haven't had any issues with the retractable cables breaking.

lol, I wouldn't. I love these retractable cables. They work well and are very convenient. Got something similar for a car charger and I use that multiple times a day, so far has held up after almost 6m of daily use.
