They stretch and breathe. I bought some and I like them more than my Mountain Hardware that were 8x as much. Nice athletic fit as well. I already have a couple pairs of black pants, otherwise I'd be all over these.

I don't have these but I have the name brand Orvis pants that they sold at Costco. These look very similar, same zippers and stuch. Anyhow, I use mine for walking my dog. Cool and breaths well during the summer and they don't really stain easily like cotton. Orvis has 1% more spandex at 6% than these pants at 5%. Brands also call these "commuter pants" because the zipper helps decrease the chance of pickpockets while on the train or subway.
