Heck of a good price. What experience do people have with buying things like this from AliExpress? I was tempted by the K1 max refurbs which were almost the same price.

AliExpress is a marketplace, so you can have trusted sellers and someone you don't want to take a risk with. For larger ticket items like this, I'd only buy it from a US Warehouse and a trusted seller. Cheaper items, I'm okay buying even if it's shipped overseas, which is where I get most of my accessories from.

When I posted this, I did my best to verify both and be comfortable enough to post it here. The seller has 10k+ sales with a 4.7 rating. I'm not buying this as my wife would not be thrilled if I brought another 3d printer in to my house.

I've had one since a bit after release. No issues with TPU.

My only complaint was replacing the heater after a blob of death type failure was a major pain.

It has a removable plug that uses a standard computer cable. Is there any reason you can't just use a 120V cable instead?

Flashforge ADM5 for $170 and you can by 2 for the price of this .. this does 300x30 and is enclosed. I think adm5 is a better deal than this . for this to be worth buy IMHO, it should be ~ $260 -- ADM5X is with 4 colors and sells for that price .. and many others are in that range at 250x250 bed

What do you want to print? This does have a slightly higher nozzle temp vs the FF. I have a 5M non pro and it's been really good. I'm interested in this for the much larger bed. I don't think a step up to 250x250 is worth it but 300x300 is.

This. It's a better printer with larger build volume. You can also root it and there is pretty good community support.I still have mine. At one point I had 2 K1's and a K Max. Still have the K1 max and a K1.

You aren't getting a K1 Max for $260....As you said, this has a larger build volume and is enclosed. Enclosing a printer, even if you do it yourself, is going to run you $60-$100. Unless you really cheap out,The K1 has a pretty strong community and support and can be rooted very easily,Creality support is "OK" as well. Much better than the Ender days...My K1 max has been one of my more solid and reliable printers. Only thing topped for my by my Bambu Labs printers.

Enclosing the 5M cost me about $45. It was $30 for the kit (on sale) and a bit more that 1 spool of filament. It's not the same as the 5M Pro which has air filtration, as well as camera and lights. If the question was 5M Pro vs K1C I'm not sure I would pick the Creality because I've found my FF to be so solid and on paper their are almost no differences between the two. I'm thinking about the K1 max because the difference in build area is so big.
