I can't speak to this specific welder but a coworker had this brand and it worked for him on his side jobs. My understanding is it's a decent entry level brand, best of luck!

MIG is considered the "hot glue of welding" which isn't a dig at the process, but it is much easier to pick up than other process, so I highly recommend you get into it. It takes some practice to get consistent enough to trust your weld on actual projects, so my recommendation is to find a local used metal dealer or some metal sellers have a "drop zone" where they have off-cuts from previous customers, so they get rid of it super cheap. Buy a bunch of stock and just get practicing laying beads until you feel comfortable. It "clicks" for some faster than others, so just keep at it. It is a rewarding skill, especially if your hobby/interest coincides with metalwork stuff. My brother grabbed this welder before this deal existed and so far he's been happy with it.

Yeah I agree, luckily that machine can do all of the process, and not much more than a cheapish no-name brand MIG either. Kind of a good deal overall to dip one's toes into the hobby.
