Amazon Warehouse has Used Very Good for $36.53 and Used Like New for $37.67 if you want to save a couple bucks more

Looks like this is a soon-to-be discontinued model, a relic of Victorinox's acquisition of Wenger.Compares functionally to the Swiss Army Knife "Climber," with fairly similar dimensions and functions. The grip is rubberized and the scissors are serated -- the biggest drawback vs the Climber.

This is the perfect mix of tools - remove redundant small blade for nail file and #1 Phillips, scissors without useless hook. Tradeoff is the Wenger style awl and scissors, but they're fine.

I have the non-grip version because I thought it'd be perfect for EDC. But I find 3-layer SAKs are too big to carry.

If you want to use it as a lightweight option for hiking/camping, the S17 is a better choice. For general use, the 14 will suffice.

After getting a leatherman squirt ps4 I think these are inferior in all terms except the scissor quality (not a big issue) and absence of a corkscrew and awl. Having pliers is so useful.

It depends on how you use it. I have the S18 (which is also $50) with locking blade and like it...I prefer the safety of a locking blade. Sadly the price has really gone up since I purchased it 5 years ago
