I never saw these whee I am but will check, the only problem is they don't have a cover so you have to have a makeshift cover which looks awful. Also narrow wind guard.

I saw it for 100 in Sterling,VA earlier this week but passed because it doesn't seem portable at all and no cover.

I'm waiting on the Blackstone folding leg griddle to drop to $140 or less before pulling the trigger but it is still $169 as of today at most stores.

I assume you saw the griddle plate on that, what's your opinion on it? It looks cheaper vs the 36" and the 22" tabletop one.

Yea its aluminum with a teflon type coating. I read mixed things about it but mostly to be careful using metal on it which is obvious. The iron griddles weigh a ton and I'd be willing to give the coated version a try and just use plastic utensils to keep it in good shape.

One thing I hate about the standard griddles is the cleanup time and effort. I have to wipe it clean of grease, re-season it with oil and its still very greasy to the touch so you have to be careful how you handle it and transport it when camping. The coated griddle top is a huge plus in this regard b/c you can just wipe it completely clean when you need to move it again.

so the coated ones do not need to be seasoned like its bigger cousins? Does it have similar problems rusting? That's the only thing preventing me from pulling the trigger. i'm looking for something low maintenance like a grill where i only need to clean and fire it up as needed
