Great tool, as long as keep the expectation it does not have the power of a corded one. bought this a few yes ago and calculated at the time that it puts out about 400 watts. A typical corded heat gun puts out 1500watts. that being said, I use mine constantly to remove labels soften various materials like plastics when needed, and most frequently and most useful, I use it to start fires in my backyard fire pit and brush burning tank. it both starts the fires going, then quickly stokes them with airflow.

The most useless cordless tool. A corded unit is 1/4th the price and 4x as effective, making this tool 16x too expensive.

Respectfully disagree. I seemed to always use my heat gun in areas JUST out of reach of the cord, requiring moving my work area or getting an extension cord.
I use it mostly for various heart shrink tasks and lighting smoker pellets on fire for cold smoking and it's been pretty great for that!
It def doesn't get as hot as a 1200-1500W but usually that just requires a bit of extra time. My only gripe is that is doesn't have a fan only mode to help cool off everything when finished.

"Oh no, this purpose built tool fills a different purpose than another one. Must be overpriced"

Looks like the lowest this goes is $75 on Amazon.

And $99 is fairly regular.

That is some interesting math. If you don't see a huge value in the fact that it's cordless, you should stick with corded tools. They are usually less expensive and you won't have to buy batteries. Most of us prefer to be untethered.

It fills the niche of "people will buy anything at an inflated price just because its battery powered, regardless of how well it works."

Seems overpriced to me for a heat coil and a fan, with no battery included. But everyone should be able to decide for themselves if this has value.

If they don't include the battery, what makes this so much more expensive than a wired version?
