I understand an electrician wearing this since it's not conducive, but isn't the whole point of jewelry something shiny and decorative?

Edit I guess it's also hypoallergenic and low maintenance, aside from general safety and loss prevention.

My wife and I always wear rings like this working out. Way more comfortable, won't scratch anything, and still shows commitment (vs no ring at all).
